Despite the upcoming Battlefield Hardline focusing on cops-and-robbers, Battlefield 5 will once again see us in a military setting.
That's according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, who made the comment at the 2014 UBS Global Technology Conference (via Gamespot), where he revealed he's already seen the game and thinks it's a "fun, new Battlefield."
"That will be a return to a Battlefield military-style game; more to come on that," he said.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently confirmed we won't be seeing Battlefield 5 until 2016in order to give Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 4 some time to breathe, though undoubtedly the spectre of franchise fatigue was also a factor.
Solid details about the title are thin on the ground, though DICE has promised we'll see "More features. More extras. More destruction."
Battlefield Hardline: 6 Minutes of Multiplayer Gameplay
The next entry in the franchise will be Battlefield Hardline, due out next March. At Tokyo Game Show this year, Visceral Games' Ian Milham spoke with IGN at length about Hardline's delay. Given Battlefield 4's troublesome launch, EA is adamant that Battlefield Hardline will work properly at launch.
